MAKÜ Celebrated Teachers' Day in an Unforgettable Way

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Education celebrated November 24 Teachers' Day in an unforgettable way.

A "Teachers' Day Meeting in the 100th Year of Our Republic" was held by the MAKÜ Faculty of Education.

The program, organized by the MAKÜ Faculty of Education, which has a deep-rooted history of 58 years, started with a moment of silence and then the reading of our National Anthem.

First, the Dean of the MAKÜ Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Firdevs Savi Çakar, gave an opening speech. In her speech, Çakar said, "Today, as the MAKÜ Faculty of Education, we are so proud that we thank each of you individually for sharing this pride with us and making this day meaningful for us. I greet you all with respect and love. Our very valuable graduates and teachers are among us in the light of the republic, following our Head Teacher. Welcome. We are very proud today because we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of our Republic. We are very proud today because we are celebrating the 58th anniversary of our faculty. And again, we are very proud that our very valuable graduates, our esteemed teachers, who shape the bright future of our country in the light of our Republic, following our Head Teacher Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, are among us. We are so glad to be members of the same faculty with educational pillars like you." She provided information about the progress processes of the faculty of education.

Then, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy conveyed Rector Dalgar's Teachers' Day message and made a speech about the meaning and importance of the day. In his speech, Gürsoy said, "This year's Teachers' Day holds special significance for us. We are celebrating Teachers' Day in the 100th year of our Republic. On the other hand, we are hosting the very valuable graduates and teachers of our Faculty of Education, which dates back to 1965, and the 150th birth anniversary of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who gave his name to our university. Therefore, this year's Teachers' Day is a very honorable and proud day. I congratulate all our teachers who have graduated from our faculty and provided beautiful services to our country, who will be the architects of past and future generations. I welcome you all and extend my respects." he said.

After the opening speeches, a slide show prepared in memory of the MAKÜ Faculty of Education graduates was watched. The program then continued with speeches about the meaning and importance of the day by Hatice Erdemir, a 1986 graduate of Burdur Education High School, İrfan Veli Kayacan, a 1989 graduate of Burdur Education High School, Ayşe Uğur, one of the graduate students, and Dr. Lecturer Hakan Acar, whose father graduated from our university.
