Department of English Language Teaching
The department has been offering undergraduate courses since the 2005-2006 academic year. The department also has a Master's program. The language of instruction in the department is English for field courses and Turkish for non-field courses (professional and general culture courses) and the duration of study is 4 years. Students of our department who fail the English proficiency exam are subjected to a mandatory preparatory class for one year.
Students can graduate as English teachers by successfully fulfilling the curriculum and graduation requirements. Graduates can work as teachers in public and private institutions and preparatory schools of public and private universities.
The academic staff of the department consists of 3 professors, 1 associate professor, 2 assistant professors with PhD, and 1 lecturer.
