Department of Social Studies Education
The department started its activities affiliated with Süleyman Demirel University from the academic year 1998-1999, and since 2006, it has continued to accept active students and provide undergraduate education affiliated with Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. The department has been graduating students with a Master's program for many years.
In the department, Social Studies teacher candidates are required to take field knowledge, professional knowledge, and general culture courses. In addition to these courses, elective field knowledge, professional knowledge, and general culture courses are also available in the program. The language of instruction in the department is Turkish and the duration of study is 4 years. Teacher candidates can graduate as Social Studies teachers by successfully fulfilling the curriculum and graduation requirements. Graduates can work as teachers in state and private institutions and preparatory schools of state and private universities.
The academic staff of the department consists of 3 Professors, 4 Dr. Lecturers, and 2 Research Assistants.
