Department of Education for the Mentally Disabled
Our department has started offering undergraduate education as of the 2021-2022 academic year. The department also has a Thesis Master's program. The language of instruction in the department is Turkish. The duration of study in the department is 4 years.
Students can graduate as Special Education Teachers if they successfully meet the program and graduation requirements. Graduates can work in MEB Special Education Schools (Practice, Vocational), MEB Special Education Classes (Preschool, Primary School, Middle School, High School), MEB Guidance and Research Centers, Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services Rehabilitation and Care Centers, MEB Private Special Education and Rehabilitation Centers, and as academics in state/foundation universities.
The academic staff of the department consists of one professor, three doctorate faculty members, and one research assistant.
